The Kola site develops deposits located within a 25 km stretch between Nikel and Zapolyarny in the west of the Murmansk Region. The Division mines disseminated copper-nickel sulphide ores containing nickel, copper, and other valuable metals.

Concentration and smelting

The mined ore is processed at Zapolyarny Concentrator, with the resulting copper-nickel concentrate then supplied to Kola site enterprises in Russia and Finland.

The precious metals produced by the Norilsk Division are refined at Krastsvetmet, Urals’ Innovative Technologies, and Prioksky Plant of Non-Ferrous Metals under tolling agreements.
